Dear Noble Community;

This letter is sent to inform you that the district has another positive case at the Knowlton School. Due to a consistent uptick in positive cases in our community we have made the hard decision to take a pause to in-person learning and go fully remote starting on Thursday, November 19, 2020. Tomorrow, Wednesday, November 18, 2020 we will run a regular Wednesday schedule to allow staff and families to prepare for the start of remote learning the following day. We will return to our in-person hybrid learning plan on Monday, November 30th. Our staff have been prepared for the possibility of this quick pivot to remote learning and it has been part of our larger district plan. We had hoped to make it to Thanksgiving break but we hope this pause provides a break in the cycle.

While we realize this schedule shift is a challenge for many families and students, the NOBLE teachers and staff have worked hard preparing lessons, activities, and assignments specifically for this situation in order for our students’ to continue to receive the best quality educational programming.

Based on your child’s grade level, there may be a combination of work packets, reading materials, and technology devices coming home this afternoon. Please look for those materials.

Thank you in advance for your assistance as we navigate this change. It is the best decision for the health and safety of our students and staff at this time.

Sincerely,

Audra E. Beauvais

Superintendent of Schools
