MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ MEETING OF March 2, 2023
Current Board Members-
North Berwick- Lauren Janousek, Kate Whalen, Lynn Manley
Berwick- Travis Doiron, Elva Lovejoy, Denise Mallett
Lebanon- Victoria Travers, Stephanie Hagenbuch, Nancy Neubert
Student Representative- Echo Balistreri
A meeting of the Board of Directors was held in person in North Berwick, Maine on March 2, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. with all members attending except Ms. Mallett and Mr. Doiron.
There were 18 in the audience.
The vice chair shared the public input statement.
Public Input: None
Ms. Lovejoy made the motion and it was seconded by Ms. Janousek to approve the minutes of February 16, 2023. All members voted in favor except Ms. Neubert and Ms. Travers who abstained and the motion passed.
Student Report: Ms. Echo Balistreri, student board representative, shared with the board the student report:
Members of the National and Spanish Honors Societies came into the school on Tuesday (February 21st) to remove the tree in the courtyard. There was lunch provided and plans to make the area more accessible for class lessons were discussed.
The French department left for their Quebec trip!
The Superintendent then shared the 2023/2024 Superintendent Budget with the School Board. Budget Presentation 3/23
Employment Update:
The Superintendent shared the nominations for administrative continuing contracts. Ms. Hagenbuch made the motion and it was seconded by Ms. Lovejoy to approve the continuing contracts of the administrators. All members voted in favor and the motion passed.
The Superintendent shared the resignation of Ms. Laura Winslow, science teacher at Noble Middle School, Ms. Hagenbuch made the motion and it was seconded by Ms. Travers to accept the resignation of Laura Winslow. All members voted in favor and the motion passed.
The Superintendent shared the resignation of Ms.Melissa Webber, math teacher at Noble Middle School, Ms. Hagenbuch made the motion and it was seconded by Ms. Lovejoy to accept the resignation of Laura Winslow. All members voted in favor and the motion passed.
Ms. Brooke Dumphey, school psychological service provider, tendered her resignation after a year’s leave of absence.
Ms Samantha Lefebvre board certified behavioral analyst (BCBA) will be starting in a few weeks at the Hussey School to support behavior intervention within the school

Ms. Janousek made the motion and it was seconded by Mrs. Lovejoy to adjourn the meeting. All members voted in favor and the motion passed.
