September 4, 2020
Dear Noble Families;
This notice is written to relay a quick update. Earlier this afternoon, Governor Mills’ administration designated York County as Yellow status. This is a change from the Green status we previously fell under for the past few weeks. While we are not the Maine CDC or DHHS, this shift in color designation is not surprising due to some recent reports coming out of the county.
While our Fall School Task Force and the Administrative Team were working on developing our Red, Yellow, and Green Plans, for the 2020-20201 school year, and following all the Health and Safety Guidelines, our Hybrid Plan was developed clearly to address the times York County designation would shift from Green to Yellow. We are good to go!
The week of September 8th is scheduled as Orientation for kindergarten through twelfth grade students. Orientation is planned and developmentally appropriate to each grade level. We are looking forward to welcoming all of our students back to school. Not only will orientation be a great time to see our students faces (whether that be in-person on a school campus or “live” on Google Meets) but it will also be a time to review the Health and Safety requirements of wearing a face mask/covering, practices social distancing, and hand washing hygiene.
We have heard from a lot of families that students are excited to start the school year, see school staff, and friends. We are looking forward to that as well.
Thank you for your support as we officially kick off the 2020-2021 school year!
Sincerely,
Audra E. Beauvais
